FAST TRACK COLORECTAL SURGERY

Th is paper summarizes data about “fast track” and ERAS (Enhanced Recovery Aft er Surgery) protocols
in the fi eld of colorectal surgery for the period from 2005 till 2015. More than 30 scientifi c papers were analyzed. Data was collected from scientifi c databases such as PubMed, and Cochrane Library.This review discusses the various aspects of Enhanced Recovery Aft er Surgery protocols. In this paper we consider the use of Fast Track protocols with diff erent points of view: elderly patients and enhanced recovery after surgery protocols, laparoscopic surgery and surgery standards, fast track protocols in emergency abdominal surgery, the infl uence of various factors on the comprehensive success of Enhanced Recovery Aft er Surgery protocols.
