PROLONGED VENTRICULAR SYSTOLE IS AN INDICATOR OF THE HEART CONTRACTILE FUNCTION
Abstract
We examined 68 patients with primary myocardial infarction. Th e assessment of myocardial contraction fraction was obtained by analysis of QT segment deviation. In healthy patients the deviation of these indices was ±5 %. In patients with myocardial infarction we observed a prolonged systole of the ventricular. Deviations of these indicators amounted to 7 to 42 per cent, depending on severity of acute heart failure, depth and area of necrosis of the heart muscle. The lengthening of the systole refl ects a violation of myocardial contractility. Refs 13. Table 1.
