Th is article gives review of the most updated publications about modern method of structural visualization
of white matter — Diff usion-Tensor MRI. Importance and principles of the method, which gives possibility of qualitative and quantitative evaluation of cerebral tracts’ microstructure, are described in details. Also described the methods of receiving images, stages and research parameters, applied for high-fi eld MRI. Analysis for application of this method for diagnostics of diff erent types of disorders and diseases is done. Refs 50.
